Our story
LUULA existed before it had a name.

The founder
Who are you buying from?
I’m Anna Fernández, founder of LUULA.
In 2006 I opened a massage centre in Barcelona. I had been working as a massage therapist for years when, during my own pregnancy, a very personal need appeared: I wanted to be able to lie face down again.
So I looked for a solution and created a system that left room for my bump.
Then I began using it with other pregnant women at my centre. And one question kept coming up:
“Do you sell this?”
“Can I take it home?”
“Where can I buy one?”
Those questions came up again and again. And, without knowing it, my clients were shaping what LUULA is today.
Years later, that experience would become LUULA.
2016 · An idea sketched on a napkin
On 15 June 2016, I drew this little sketch on a napkin.
I wanted to show an illustrator how the system we had been using for years in our pregnancy massages worked.
That improvised drawing gave rise to these illustrations, created to show something that was already a reality at my massage centre.
Years later, I still keep the photo I took of that napkin on the very same day.

In their own words
Over the years, some women put into writing what they felt when they could lie face down again during their pregnancy.
Today, those words are part of LUULA’s story.
Original reviews, shown in Spanish as they were published on Google. Excerpts from public reviews about pregnancy massage experiences at the centre where this system was born, written before LUULA was launched.
From an experience to a dream
After so many years caring for pregnant women, there came a moment when I decided to take one step further.
I left behind my role as director and therapist at my massage centre to devote myself entirely to LUULA.
I had a very clear purpose: that the feeling so many women had discovered during their massages could also be enjoyed at home.
And that other professionals could offer it in their own centres.
My dream is for LUULA to reach homes and massage centres across Spain and, one day, all over the world.
